Police Administration

Prerequisite: Exemption from or successful completion of READ 0099. An examination of the administration and operation of police organizations. The course will examine the different organizational and command structures used for different police functions, the management and control functions of department administrators, recruitment and hiring practices, budget and other fiscal concerns, and other human resource issues in policing.
