AGED 2290 - Experiential Learning

This course provides students with an understanding of teaching using realia, demonstrations, simulations, and agriscience activities. Students will learn to incorporate hands-on activities, demonstrations, simulations, and realia into their classroom teaching to achieve engaged and differentiated learning. Students will learn how experiential learning differs from conventional classroom teaching and learning. Students will learn how reflection activities can enhance skill and knowledge acquisition at a deeper level of understanding. The experiences gained in this course will be valuable as a supplement to students when they learn teaching procedure and later as they enter student teaching.

Prerequisite(s) Completed 30 semester hours.
