Prerequisite(s): Honors Program membership. A survey of United States history from the post-Civil War period to the present. This course covers the major social, economic, cultural, and political issues in American history since the Civil War. A particular Emphasis is placed on the role of Georgia in the development of the nation. This course is taught as a seminar and emphasizes greater student interaction. This course satisfies state law requiring examination on Georgia and United States history. Credit toward graduation not allowed for HIST 2112 and HIST 2112H.
