Description

An overview of the theoretical approaches, prior research, and practical application of scientific communication to a non-technical audience. Course content will include developing plan language strategies and effective graphical representations and imagery to translate scientific issues to lay audience, including lawmakers, agencies, consumers, news media outlets, and the general public. Prerequisite(s): A minimum grade of C in the following courses: ENGL 1102 and (COMM 1100 or COMM 1110).
